For some Halloween Fun and Frolics wheel your wheelbarrow or lead your donkey to the Pumpkin Patch where you can pick your Perfect Pumpkin and pop it in to the Donkey Rucksack or Trusty Wheelbarrow to bring it back to the yard.
Then adventure through the Spooky farm trail with Witches Wagons, a Fairy Forest, a Ghoulish Graveyard and Halloween Horses. The Hocus Pocus Hay Barn has plenty of ghostly games and goodies and why not enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or yummy hot chocolate from the coffee dock!

Admission includes access to the Spooktacular Witches Village where you will meet the resident Ballycross Witches, choose your pumpkin in our patch (pumpkins sold separately, prices vary by size), tractor & trailer ride back to the farm, complimentary apple and access to all Ballycross Apple Farm amenities.
The Ballycross Farm Shop is open during the month of October where you can purchase Apple Juice, Pumpkins, Apples & lots more. You do not need to book a ticket to access the shop however entry into the rest of the farm is prohibited without a ticket.

There’s something spooky in the forest. This year the Rathwood Express will give a modern spin to a classic fairytale adventure in the magnificent Halloween Pantomime “The Witches Of Rathwood” by Verdant Productions.
Witches Petronilla & Goody are on the loose this Halloween! – After being frozen for many years under a magical spell – they have finally been set free… and now they are about to cause to havoc and seek their revenge on the people who put them there. Their plan is to steal all the Pumpkins in Rathwood! It’s up to the people of Rathwood to stop them in their tracks and the best way to do this is with lot’s of singing and plenty of dancing – get ready for a scary show with potions and maybe the eye of a toad!
The Witches of Rathwood must be stopped and they will need your help to do this… so dress up and come in disguise!
With an all singing all dancing cast and just a little bit of fairy magic, this show will have the whole family screaming… with laughter.

They started after they saw their first field of pumpkins while working on farms as a harvester in America. they thought they looked so cool and colourful in the fields and wanted to bring some of those bright colours back to Ireland. It also helped that the area they live in, in Fordstown Co. Meath has very close ties to the origins of Halloween!

Kids can grab a mini wheelbarrow and go and explore the pumpkin patch. They can then pick their own pumpkin and wheel it back up the field to the designated carving marquee where staff will be on hand to help. They will design your spooky lantern and then you can scoop it out. They will carve it for you! Leaving all smells and mess with them!

Ready for a fun day out? This popular Pumpkin Days event is back again and here’s what’s involved:
Your 3 hour session begins with picking your pumpkin from our patch. Have fun scooping out the insides and drawing on your pumpkin before their carvers cut out your design for you.
